Sometimes we forget to water our plants, it happens. A good way to adhere to a weekly watering schedule is to set an alarm on your phone when you know you’ll be home. Below are some plants that are little more forgiving when forgetfulness ensues

Cactus
They are one of the easiest plants to grow! With thousands of varieties, cacti have a unique, attractive beauty that add texture and an edge to any indoor space. Provide very bright light and very well-draining soil. In the spring & summer, water only once soil has dried out and in the winter, stop watering almost altogether.
Dracaenas
Bright light loving plants that come in many different varieties, but Marginata is the most popular. Great in small containers or in larger tree form. It is also an air purifying plant!
Euphorbia
There are many varieties available, all with unique looks. Generally speaking, they all usually need well-drained soil & good light, although some will tolerate lower light. Prefers moderate moisture but can tolerate periods of drought.
Hoya
A popular vining houseplant that is great in hanging baskets on ledges or a top shelf. Also called a Wax Plant due to its leaves, it lives forever, grows to be quite large & has beautiful, fragrant flowers. Prefers medium to bright indirect light & less is more when it comes to watering.
Kalanchoe
Part of the succulent family, these plants have beautiful foliage & flowers. They like bright, indirect light & well-drained soil. Little maintenance is necessary & they have very few disease or pest problems.
Peperomia
These plants are all about the foliage! They are best highlighted when grouped with other plants. Prefers bright, indirect light & to get watering just about right, allow the soil to dry at the top & then water thoroughly - much less during winter.
Ponytail Palm
Also known as Beucarnea recurvata, these are not actually palms but cute, low maintenance plants that have been popular for decades. A forgiving plant, it likes bright, indirect light best but will tolerate lower lighting conditions too. Treat it similarly to a cactus or succulent.
Sago Palm
Has light textured green fronds & is considered to be a slow grower. Prefers bright, indirect light & humidity. Susceptible to root rot, so don’t over-water them. Toxic to both humans & pets if ingested.
Sansevieria
Also commonly known as Snake Plant or Mother-in-law's Tongue, they are one of the most popular & hardy houseplants. Widely used as an architectural decor element with its stiff, upright leaves that range in height. They are very easy to care for, like low light conditions & have few bug issues. So easy, anyone can grow it!
Schefflera
Medium to high light loving plants that can be grown in containers or in larger tree form. A popular, easy to grow option.
Soleirolia soleirolii
Also known as Baby Tears, it is a delicate, carpet-like plant that is perfect for a table plant, in terrariums or as a small hanging basket. They like bright, indirect light, high humidity & moist but not soggy soil.
Succulents
Very popular indoor plants that are perfect for gift-giving. They come in a wide range of colors & varieties, making it incredibly easy to fall in love with many of them! They prefer bright light (a mix of direct & indirect) and only need a light water every so often - wrinkled leaves indicate it needs more water. They are easy to grow & low maintenance, making them perfect for beginner growers.
Yucca
Makes a bold statement in any indoor space. Prefers partially shaded, bright indirect light & well-draining soil.
ZZ Plant
A great beginner plant! Also known as Zamioculcas Zamiifolia, it can tolerate different light conditions and will grow faster the brighter the light. Base your watering off of the lighting conditions, i.e. less light = less water, medium light = medium water & lots of light = frequent water.
